You can buy the t-shirt, do the workout and apply the makeup to get that celebrity ‘look’, but what about going under the knife?
There has been a growing trend in recent years of people being so eager to look like their favourite celebrity or fictional character that they have had extensive plastic surgery to achieve their aim.
Here are five of the most extreme examples of real people who have had cosmetic surgery to look like a celebrity.
1. Pixee Fox – Jessica Rabbit
Swedish-born Pixee Fox made headlines around the world in 2015 when she removed six of her ribs to get the tiniest of cartoon waists.
Spending over £80,000 on 19 surgical procedures so far, Fox said, “My goal is to capture the exaggerated femininity of beautiful animated characters like Holly Would, Jessica Rabbit, and Aurora.”
Her latest enhancement in pursuit of cartoon perfection? Permanent green eye implants.
2. Jordan James Parke – Kim Kardashian
Superfan Jordan James Peake has spent £150,000 on plastic surgery, eyebrow tattoos, facial fillers, laser hair removal, designer clothes and handbags – all in his quest to look like his idol Kim Kardashian.
The lip filler addict from Birmingham, who has had over 50 operations on his lips alone, told TV show Botched, “I laugh when people try to insult me by telling me I look plastic or fake. Do they think I’m going for the natural look? If I was, I’d ask for my money back.”
3. Kelly Chandler – Jennifer Aniston
Revenge is a dish best served…as a Friend?
Texan insurance agent, Kelly Chandler, decided to teach her ex-husband a lesson by going under the knife.
“I thought to myself, ‘What a perfect way to let him squirm, to let him see what I look like after the surgery,’” Ms Chandler told the Austin Chronicle, “It was the ultimate revenge.”
Chandler appeared on MTV’s I Want a Famous Face in 2005 and spent over $26,000 on implants, a nose job and liposuction.
4. Mikki Jay – Michael Jackson
Gender didn’t get in the way of British woman Mikki Jay from replicating the look of her hero Michael Jackson.
After spending £8,000 on two cheek implants, two nose jobs and a chin shave, Ms Jay now works as a professional impersonator of the famous singer.
5. Nathan Thursfield – Katie Price
Superfan Nathan Thursfield adores idol Katie Price so much, he even copied her wedding.
When deciding where to tie the knot with fiancé Michael Gibbons, Mr Thursfield headed straight to Las Vegas – just like Price and her former husband Alex Reid. The filming rights to the ceremony were sold to Channel 5.
Mr Thursfield, 20, has so far spent £40,000 on two nose jobs, dentistry and chin implants to try to achieve the glamour model’s look.
