An aspiring model who experienced liposuction cosmetic surgery gone wrong that resulted in significant scarring has revealed the devastating effect that the experience had on her confidence and self-esteem.
Jo, 22 from Oxfordshire who undertook regular bikini shots as part of her job, went under the knife to address the fat around her waistline she wanted to rectify that had made her feel self-conscious. However due to cosmetic surgery negligence, the young woman was left with her self-esteem lower than ever before.
Revealing that by the time she underwent the liposuction cosmetic surgery procedure she didn’t even weigh enough to justify going under the knife in the first place, Jo’s occurrence of cosmetic surgery gone wrong resulted in infected wounds in her abdomen area.
The instance of cosmetic surgery negligence, which cost the victim £2,600 which she was forced to pay upfront, is the latest instance of cosmetic surgery gone wrong to be featured on the Last Chance Salon. The TV series follows the misfortunes of individuals who experience botched beauty treatment.
Having already shed enough weight to avoid having the need for liposuction treatment, Jo nevertheless decided to go through with the operation having paid in advance for the treatment and did not want to lose her money.
Jo said: “When I went to my consultant I felt I didn’t need it but I had already paid all the money up front. I would have lost that if I didn’t do it so I felt I had to go through with it. I wish I had thought about it more.”
Her experience of cosmetic surgery negligence, which resulted in Jo compromising her modelling career, was caused by the incisions made in the skin becoming infected leading to lumpy, red scars which have remained two years after her liposuction procedure.
Last Chance Salon reveals that Jo is able to have her liposuction surgery gone wrong rectified under the guidance of resident cosmetic surgeon Mr Vik Vijh who manages to remove the old scars which are expected to fade in future following the corrective treatment.
Jo revealed that the treatment had given her the confidence boost she needed and as a result, she had secured a job in Marbella over the summer modelling swimwear.
She said: “I’m really excited I’m going to be modelling bikinis in Marbella. It’s something I would never have been able to do as the scars were before.”
