Woman Has Ribs Removed to Look Like a Cartoon Character

A cosmetic surgery addict who has spent more than £165,000 changing her body has had six ribs removed to be one step closer to her goal of looking like a cartoon character.

Former electrician, Pixiee Fox, has always wanted to look like animated characters such as Jessica Rabbit and Aurora from Sleeping Beauty but she believed the size of her waist was standing in her way.

So, after tracking down a cosmetic surgeon willing to operate on her, she had six ribs removed in the hope it will help to gradually shrink her waist to a record-breaking 14 inches.

This certainly isn’t the first cosmetic surgery procedure Pixee has had. In total she’s had four rhinoplasties, four breast augmentations, two rounds of liposuction, two upper eyelid surgeries, a labiaplasty, a Brazilian butt lift, cheek injections and lip injections.

Before the rib-removal operation, Pixee complained that wearing her favourite corsets was often painful as the corsets would push against her ribs.

However, now that her lower ribs have been removed, Pixee is confident she’ll reach her goal soon.

She said: “I think I am pretty close to the world record for smallest waist. If I just get time to heal and workout and continue my lifestyle I’m going to go down to 14 inches.”

Pixee, from Sweden added: “People often come up to me and say, ‘don’t take this the wrong way, but you look like a cartoon’ – but for me that’s a compliment, that’s what I want to achieve.”

Explaining her motivations for the surgery, Pixie said: “Who I was on the outside was not who I was on the inside. I want to have the tiny waist, the butt, big boobs, big eyes and a really pretty face. Having my ribs removed was just another step in achieving that ideal.”

Costing £6,000 and taking five-hours to complete, the irreversible operation is usually performed for medical reasons and very few surgeons are willing to carry it out for cosmetic purposes.

Pixiee claims it took a while to convince a surgeon to operate on her. She said: “The only reason I have been able to do it now is that doctors finally started taking me seriously because they can see I’m not a crazy person and that I know what I’m doing.”

Recovering from such an operation is supposed to take six weeks but Pixee was already back in her normal routine and wearing a corset after just two days.

The life-changing operation is of course not without its risks. The ribcage’s primary function is to protect the body’s vital organs and when the lower ribs are removed, organs such as the kidneys, gallbladder and part of the stomach are not as well protected as they were before.

Usually, rib removal is carried out on patients who have suffered bone cancer or a ruptured organ. As a result, most board-certified surgeons feel that rib removal is too extreme to be carried out for cosmetic reasons only.
