How to Care for Yourself Following a Brow Lift Procedure
As with any surgical cosmetic procedure, you should avoid strenuous activity while healing. Do not take part in heavy lifting, exercise (other than light walking) or anything that might strain your forehead muscles or skin for the duration of the dealing process, which usually takes around three to four weeks. If you are unsure about whether you are ready to return to your usual activities, speak to your surgeon for advice.
When sleeping and resting in bed, lay on your back and use pillows to prop yourself up. When washing, avoid baths and do not hold the showerhead over your forehead or submerge your head. Instead, allow water to drain over the affected area, and make sure to clean any soap out of the cuts - failing to do so may lead to infection.
Even after your skin has healed, avoid intense sunlight where possible and use plenty of sun cream. If you do not, any scars that were caused by the healing process may become more prominent, or sustain damage if the skin dries out.
