Compensation for PIP implant patients

January 13, 2012

Private clinics refuse to replace implants

In the past few days private clinics throughout the country have all made similar statements in telling us that they will not be footing the bill to replace the potentially dangerous PIP breast implants.

Recent studies have shown that Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) implants are more likely to rupture than usual implants. It has also been reported that these same implants were filled using industrial silicone instead of medical grade silicone, simply adding to the danger that these implants pose.

TJL Solicitors investigate patient rights to claim

We have been following the PIP implant story very closely and have began our own investigations into the law that covers patients in such instances as this.

We believe that the responsibility for replacing the potentially dangerous implants rests on the shoulders of the cosmetic surgery clinics that fitted them in the first place.

The Law

We believe that the clinics who provided the PIP implants are responsible for removing and replacing them as they are not of satisfactory quality.
