Case Study – Mrs B
Mrs B
Mrs B underwent tummy-tuck (abdominoplasty) and breast reduction surgery performed by two different surgeons at the same clinic, which went wrong.
We successfully recovered £25,000 in damages for Mrs B after we made our case that her treatment had been negligent as:
- She was not a good candidate for a tummy-tuck
- The horizontal tummy-tuck incision was made too high and plainly visible above the line of a bikini / underwear.
- Too much tissue was removed from the breasts
- The nipple and areola complexes were replaced too highly following the breast reduction.
The compensation we recovered comprised of a refund for the tummy-tuck surgery, which she would not have undergone if properly advised; the cost of corrective surgery required in the future and recompense for her physical and psychological injuries.
